The Scharze Schneide run which goes towards the Rettenbach Gacier is plagued with natural elements and has a vertical descent of 2.000 metres, making it the largest is in the region. You can descend the Alpine Ski World Cup piste along with the other 144 kilometres of pistes, which include 67 kilometres of blues, 48 kilometres of reds and 27 kilometres of blacks. The steepest slopes are piste numbers 3, 7, 14, 25 and the World Cup slope, 31. There are around 2 kilometres of off piste runs. The Area 47 Snowpark is for all levels and has 33 elements. The advanced zone has five elements with 18 m rails and two 15 m jumps.

Conditions

The resort has snow from November until May thanks to the high altitude of its pistes, the orientation and the snow making facilities that cover more than 67% of Sölden. During peak season, in January and February, the resort has excellent quality snow however in the afternoon the pistes can get quite slushy due to the many users. The best time to go, if you don’t want to go when there are any international events taking place, is at the beginning of March.
