Prince County - Prince Edward Island , Canada

Prince Edward Island is known as the cradle of the Confederacy. In 1864, the New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Quebec provinces met in Charlottetown to form the new nation. There are numerous museums that tell the fascinating history about the birth of Canada. The Arts & Heritage Trails are historical tours with information panels that guide you to museums, heritage assets and artistic enclaves. At 619 Water Street you’ll find The College of Piping and Celtic Performing Arts of Canada. It’s a cultural and arts centre with Celtic music performances. Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at 55 Greenwood Drive is a hippodrome where you can watch horse races. The entrance is free and there are some good places to eat inside. It has a fun and informal environment and you can make bets on the horses. You can enjoy the area from a different perspective and fly over it in a small plane, paying special attention to the bridge and Cavendish Beach. You’ll find FD Air Tours at Hanger 10 in Slemon Park.
