A walk through its streets which are filled with bars and shops will give you a good feel of the place. Morzine has four well marked cross country ski and snowshoe zones which take you through the beautiful alpine landscape. Le Pleney-Chavannes is a sunny 6 km trail with a lookout of Mont Blanc. La vallée de la Manche is 20 km, from 1,100 m to 1,400 m, has some very good off piste options if you go with telemark skis. Le lac de Montriond is a trekking route through the valley, surrounded by fir trees.

Super Morzine-Avoriaz is the longest route and has the most spectacular scenery. There are 45 km of trails for all levels, from 1.500 m to 1.800 m. The French ski school ESF offer equipment rental and guides. You also have the option of heli-skiing where the guides will take you to virgin snow on the Italian glaciers. Bureao des Guides is a company that can organise your trip. Ice diving is an interesting option. Takamaka Sports Nature offer frozen river and lake immersions. They offer introductory lessons and different routes depending on your level.

The horse drawn cart rides on offer in Morzine are a good way to get to see the village and Snowscooter rides, cinemas, ski school, playgrounds and nurseries are all available amenities for keeping the little ones entertained. Apart from the fixed activities which are on offer all year round, Morzine has various interesting events during the season, such as music festivals and competitions.
