Bali is one of the most touristic places in the world and there are thousands of ways to enjoy it. One essential aspect to understanding the life and culture in Bali is knowing that more than 90% of its population practice Hinduism. There are some very important temples that are worth visiting and the most striking thing about them is that they were all built in very peculiar locations, for example the temple of Uluwatu, which is very near to Padang Padang, is perched on a steep cliff by the ocean.
There are lots of things to do around Padang Padang, for example you can go to get a massage or you could visit a different warung or restaurant every day. Every Saturday there is a party with live music on Padang Padang beach. If you have time it's worth making a trip to the artisan city of Ubud where you will see a more traditional Bali with beautiful rice fields and you can buy crafts and other typical items. If you have more time it's recommended to plan a day trip to visit the impressive Unung Agung in the north of the island.
