The natural environment in Cape Town is sensational. You can see incredible mountains, forests, vineyards and even deserts that are just an hour away from the city. It started to take preference in the nineties with European windsurfers searching for a greater variety of spots, from cold water lakes to world class reefbreaks.

Other spots near to Sunset Beach are the Milnerton, Big Bay and Haakgat beaches. If you want a break from the water, you could visit the incredible Table Mountain, one of the world’s seven natural wonders. You can go up by cable car and from there you’ll be able to enjoy the views of the immense horizon and Cape Town.

The lake where the palms adorn the shore, the canoeists from Milnerton Canoe Club and the large biodiversity of birds are very characteristical of Milnerton. Woodbridge Island is a national heritage which got its name from the wooden bridge which connects it to the mainland. You’ll find the lighthouse, which is also one of the city’s benchmarks, on this island.
