It has an average temperature of 27ºC, E wind blowing at around 25 knots and flat, shallow waters. The best time for kitesurfing is from October until the end of July. From February to May, the wind can be very strong and a bit gustier from midday onwards. From August until the end of September the wind is interrupted by the tropical depressions which move closer to the Caribbean.

La mejor época es de octubre hasta finales de julio. Durante los meses de febrero a mayo, el viento puede ser muy fuerte y un poco más racheado a partir del mediodía. Esos días son perfectos para explorar otros lugares alrededor de Margarita. Desde agosto hasta finales de septiembre el viento se interrumpe debido depresiones tropicales que se acercan al Caribe.
Kite Beach is only one kilometre away from the most popular windsurf spot on Margarita Island, El Yaque. It’s a world class beach that’s located just five minutes from the Santiago Mariño International Airport. It’s upwind from the windsurf area and the zone has 400 metres of shallow water marked by buoys. It’s a perfect spot for Freestyle and Race. It has few waves, the wind component is E with around 25 knots and the average temperature is 27ºC. The spot is upwind at the end of the beach and the best is to access it by one of the boats which are always available. You’ll find similar conditions at Coche Island which is 20 minutes away by boat.
Kite Beach El Yaque se encuentra a un kilómetro del spot de windsurf más popular de Isla Margarita, El Yaque. Una de las mejores playas a nivel mundial que se encuentra a cinco minutos del Aeropuerto Internacional Santiago Mariño. Ambos comparten 400 metros de zona de aguas poco profundas bien delimitados por bollas, perfecto para iniciarse y para expertos en Freestyle y Race. Posee una media de 27ºC de temperatura, viento de 25 nudos de dirección este y poco oleaje. Se encuentra up wind desde el final de la playa de El Yaque y su acceso en bote es la mejor opción puesto que siempre hay disponibilidad y es asequible. También hay condiciones muy similares en La Isla de Coche, a 20 minutos en lancha.
Margarita Island has many beaches where you can sail, various kite and windsurf schools and lots more relaxing things to do like sunbathing, shopping, eating out etc. You can visit Coche Island, where you’ll find beautiful beaches like El Bichar, Güinima, El Amparo and San Pedro de Coche. Porlamar city is 30 minutes away and you can shop with the best prices in Boulevard Guevara or go to the more exclusive shops in Santiago Mariño Avenue and 4 de mayo Avenue. You can also go the Los Robles area, where there are hotels, nightclubs and commercial centres like El Sambil, La Redoma and Rattan Plaza. You’ll also find the Conejeros market with its bargains and breakfast options. With regards to nature reserves, the island is home to the Laguna National Park, La Restinga and the Cerro Copey National Park.
Isla Margarita posee gran cantidad de playas donde navegar y muchas opciones para relajarse, tomar el sol, restaurantes, hoteles, escuelas y tiendas de windsurf. Puede visitarse la Isla de Coche, donde encontrarás bellos pueblos como El Bichar, Güinima, El Amparo y San Pedro de Coche. La ciudad de Porlamar está a 30 minutos, en la que puedes ir a comprar a los mejores precios en Boulevard Guevara o ir a tiendas más exclusivas en las avenidas de Santiago Mariño y 4 de Mayo. También puedes pasar por el sector Los Robles, donde se sitúan los hoteles, locales nocturnos y centros comerciales como el Sambil, La Redoma y Rattan Plaza. Por otro lado, puedes encontrar el mercado Conejeros, cuyos artículos a bajo coste y el desayuno son un gran atractivo. En cuanto a parajes naturales se localizan en la isla el Parque Nacional Laguna La Restinga y el Parque Nacional Cerro Copey.
