The prices range from 10 to 30 euros and the timetable is as follows: Monday to Thursday from 10:00 till 19:00, Fridays from 10:00 till 21:00 and Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 till 19:00. The climate is tropical and very warm throughout the year, the rainy season is from May to October, but it doesn’t usually last long. Still, watch out for with the hurricane season, which runs from June to November and, since the islands are quite low, flooding is likely.
El rango de precios va desde los 10 a los 30 euros y el horario es el siguiente: De lunes a jueves abre de 10:00 a 19:00, los viernes de 10:00 a 21:00 y los sábados y domingos de 9:00 a 19:00. En cuanto al tiempo, el clima es tropical y muy cálido durante todo el año, la temporada de lluvias es de mayo a octubre, pero no suelen durar mucho. Aún así, mucho ojo con la temporada de huracanes, que va desde junio a noviembre y, puesto que las islas son bastante bajas, las inundaciones son muy probables.
The Black Pearl Skatepark is located in the beautiful Cayman Islands and covers 5.760 square metres, 62.000 feet of vertical and street elements with different phases for experts, intermediates and beginners. It’s one of the largest outdoor cement parks in the world. It’s supervised by park staff 24 hours a day to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all who visit. Wearing protection is mandatory and if you haven’t taken yours, you can rent or buy things at the park’s store, the Black Pearl Boardshop. The place welcomes skaters, bikers, rollers, and even Parkour enthusiasts. The incredible bowls that this park has are characterised by its tremendous curves, some finished in vast wallrides and a few others in which you end up upside down in their vertiginous oververts.
La Perla Negra Skatepark podemos encontrarla en las maravillosas Islas Caimán y abarca 5.760 metros cuadrados (62.000 pies) de verticales y street con diferentes fases: experto, intermedio y principiante. Es uno de los parques más grandes de cemento al aire libre del mundo. Se encuentra supervisado por el personal del parque las 24 horas para garantizar la seguridad y diversión de todo aquel que lo visite. Las protecciones son obligatorias y, si por casualidad no las llevas, puedes alquilarlas o comprarlas en la tienda del mismo parque, Black Pearl BoardShop. El lugar acoge a skaters, bikers, rollers, e incluso a los entusiastas del Parkour. Los increíbles bowls que tiene este parque se caracterizan por sus tremendas curvas, algunas terminadas en wallrides vastísimos y otras cuantas que llegan a ponerte boca abajo en sus vertiginosos oververts.
The Black Pearl has an installation that creates artificial waves for surfing and a skate shop if you need equipment. The surf zone is a very high FlowBarrel, with a capacity of 11 metres, a workable wave for ages 5 and up and fully adjustable for any level of surfer.
There are various activities and tours on offer in this paradise which is ruled by the beaches, such as Stingray City, where you can get close enough to touch the sea life. You just have to get off the boat and the stringrays will come to you. On the other hand, Seven Mile Beach offers tranquility, since it has no waves, just clear water and white sand. You can also enjoy the inflatable air beds for a small fee. There are showers, toilets and bars at affordable prices.
The North Wall is a sheer drop wall and is known as one of the world’s best diving sites. You’ll see the splendor of the reef, corals, beautiful formation and unmatchable sea life. Another recommended diving site is the Kittiwake Shipwreck & Artificial Reef, where you can see an example of the power of nature after the shipwreck and it’s ability to adjust to changes caused by humans.
La Perla Negra cuenta con una instalación que crea olas artificiales para la práctica de surf y una tienda de skate por si requieres de material en el mismo parque. La zona de surf es un FlowBarrel bastante alto, 11 metros de máxima capacidad, una ola practicable para jóvenes de 5 años en adelante y totalmente ajustable al nivel de habilidad de cualquier surfista.
Existen diversas actividades y excursiones en este paradisíaco lugar donde reinan las playas, como por ejemplo La ciudad de las rayas, ‘Stingray City’, donde se puede disfrutar del contacto animal. Las rayas se acercan a ti nada más bajarte del bote. Por otro lado, la playa de Seven Mile ofrece mucha tranquilidad, puesto que no tiene olas, sino un agua transparente tranquila y arena blanca. Además, puede disfrutarse de colchonetas inflables para niños y no tan niños, por un módico precio. Tiene duchas, aseos y bares con precios asequibles.
La North Wall es un cortado donde se puede tener una experiencia de buceo muy gratificante y un lugar muy conocido donde podremos visionar el fondo oceánico y disfrutar del arrecife, corales, grandes formaciones y una fauna marina inigualable. Otra zona de buceo muy recomendable es Kittiwake Shipwreck & Artificial Reef, donde un barco hundido es la atracción principal y puede verse la capacidad de la naturaleza para reajustarse ante cualquier cambio que podamos ocasionar.
