The Lee and Joe Jamail Skatepark was built in 2008 and is located by the Sabine Street Bridge in Buffalo Bayou Park. It has 30.000 square feet (2.800 square metres) with different zones. In the first, you’ll find a centre element with hips, stairs, hubbas, rails and a long curved ledge. Next to this there’s a bowl to start with which includes a medium full pipe and various transitions. All of this is surrounded by quarters and flats that connect the street and ramp elements. The second zone has a bowl for experts with a wide spine and a big full pipe, there’s also a kidney-shaped pool. The two zones are connected by passageways with side ledges and there are big wooden umbrellas for the very hot days.
