The winter in Winnipeg is quite dry as it tends to rain more in the summer months of June and July. El invierno en Winnipeg es bastante seco, las lluvias suelen concentrarse más en verano sobre los meses de junio y julio. El estado del parque es perfecto, han cuidado hasta el efecto de sombras que hacen las luces y la colocación de las zonas peatonales, pensando muy bien en los detalles, para que la sesión sea lo más segura posible para todos.
This is the only spot that has street and ramp elements designed with the purpose of blending into the part of the park that you find yourself in. The Forks is brimming with cultural importance. It’s a mix between a skate plaza and skatepark with more than 4.000 square metres containing a spacious bowl with a big oververt, many stairs with handrails and hubbas, many ledges, banks, manual pads, quarters, cement waves and curved ledges. Everything is a work of art in a fantastic landscape.
Este spot es un lugar único que posee elementos de calle y rampa diseñados con el propósito de que formen parte de la zona en la que se encuentran, el parque The Forks, que rebosa de gran importancia cultural. Es un parque híbrido entre skate plaza y skatepark, con una superficie de más de 4.000 metros cuadrados que contienen un espacioso bowl con un gran oververt, muchísimas escaleras con handrails y hubbas, muchos bordillos, banks, manual pads, quarters e incluso olas de cemento y bordillos en curva. Toda una obra de arte en un paisaje fantástico.
The area where the skatepark is has more than six thousand years of historical and cultural importance and is visited by thousands of tourists and for this reason they designed a park as an urban landscape which is unsurpassed. If you visit, there are lots of things including places to eat or drink, souvenir shops and live music etc.
If you want to see a street spot, go to 822 Pandora Avenue West where there are some yellow ledges in a car park. In Kennedy Street, just in front of the Winnipeg Provincial Court, there is a handrail with 10 perfect stairs, picnic tables and many more things but you have to watch out for the security guards. Places to visit without the skateboard could include Assiniboine Park, the Manitoba Museum, Fort Whyte Alive and Winnipeg Art Gallery.
La zona donde está el skatepark tiene más de seis mil años de importancia cultural e histórica, es visitado por miles de turistas, por eso se diseñó el parque como un paisaje urbano sin igual. Puedes visitar la zona y disfrutar de un montón de actividades, lugares para comer o tomar algo, tiendas de souvenirs, música en vivo, etc.
Si quieres ver spot callejeros acércate al 822 Pandora Avenue West, allí hay unos bordillos amarillos en un aparcamiento. En Kennedy street, justo en frente del edificio Winnipeg Provincial Court, hay un handrail de 10 escaleras muy perfecto, mesas de picnic y muchas más cosas, pero ojo con los de seguridad. Para visitar sin el skate tienes Assiniboine Park, The Manitoba Museum, Fort Whyte Alive y Winnipeg Art Gallery.
