A lot of the edges are a little deteriorated, which is normal as it’s been skated since the eighties. Keep in mind that July and August are good months for skating as it’s when there is least rainfall.

Vale do Anhangabaú is a public park located in the historic centre of São Paulo. It’s where you’ll find the manual pads and overlapping ledges that Rodrigo TX made famous in Brazil and the rest of the world through videos like És and The Firm. Besides appearing in popular skate videos, they have held various events there such as the annual championship and the Skate University Tour Vale do Anhangabaú, where they set up elements from the skate plaza as well as using the park ledges.
There are two block surfaces which you can use as manual pads, ledges, blocks or a combination thereof. It has many possibilities, although the lower floor is made of paving stone and the narrow passageway is the only space you have to enter the ledge. In this square you can also attend plays, political demonstrations, shows and even watch movies and soap operas. It is one of the most famous places in the city, not just for skaters, but for tourists too.
El Vale do Anhangabaú es un parque público ubicado en el centro histórico de São Paulo, donde se encuentran los manual pads y bordillos superpuestos que Rodrigo TX hizo famosos en Brasil y en todo el mundo a través de los vídeos de És o The Firm. Además de aparecer en conocidos vídeos de skate, se celebran diversos eventos como el campeonato anual ‘Universitário de Skate no Vale do Anhangabaú’ donde se colocan módulos de skate plaza a parte de utilizar los bordillos del parque.
Hay dos superficies de bloques que pueden patinarse como manual pads, bordillos, gradas o combinación de los mismos. Tiene muchísimas posibilidades, aunque el suelo inferior sea de adoquines de piedra y un estrecho pasillo sea el único espacio que tienes para entrarle al bordillo. En esta plaza también puedes presenciar representaciones teatrales, manifestaciones políticas, espectáculos e incluso grabaciones de películas y telenovelas. Es uno de los lugares más famosos de la ciudad además de ser un lugar de interés turístico, no solo para skaters.
The São Paulo Municipal Theatre is right in front of the spot. You can go for a walk in the Parque do Ibirapuera, the most important and well known park in São Paulo which is considered as the green lung of the city, and where you’ll find the Japanese Pavilion, or visit the Obelisk of São Paulo, the auditorium and the modern art museum among other things. The centre of São Paulo has been the home of skate since the eighties and places like the Roosevelt Plaza stand out. The centre also hosts a mix of skateshops in the Rock Gallery. Other places to visit could be the Weathervane Cultural Science Museum, São Bento Monastery, Sala São Paulo or the FIESP Cultural Centre, to give a few examples in this versatile city.
Justo en frente de la plaza de Vale do Anhangabau está el Teatro Municipal de São Paulo. Puedes pasarte por el Parque do Ibirapuera, el más importante y conocido parque de São Paulo considerado el pulmón verde de la ciudad, allí se encuentran el pabellón Japonés, el Obelisco de São Paulo, el Auditorio y el museo de arte moderno entre otras cosas. El centro de São Paulo fue el hogar del skate desde finales de los años 80, donde destacan lugares como la Plaza Roosevelt. Además, el centro alberga un conglomerado de skateshops en Rock Gallery. Otras visitas turísticas pueden ser el Weathervane Cultural Science Museum, Sao Bento Monastery, Sala São Paulo o FIESP Cultural Centre, por poner unos ejemplos de una ciudad tan polivalente como es Sao Paulo.
